Dr Steve O'Hickey
Consultant Physician MD FRCPDr O'Hickey trained in Respiratory Medicine and Clinical Allergy at Guy's Hospital London and completed his MD thesis in Asthma and Exercise. Dr O'Hickey's Senior Registrar years were in respiratory medicine in Birmingham Heartlands Hospital. In 1993 he was appointed as consultant in respiratory medicine to Solihull Hospital and then in 1997, was offered a post in Respiratory Medicine and Allergy in Worcester Royal Hospital.
Dr O'Hickey interests are Clinical Allergy, particularly desensitization and immunotherapy, Asthma, COPD /Emphysema and interstitial lung disease, particularly when associated with connective tissue disease. He is especially interested in clinical allergy testing for allergic asthma and rhino-sinusitis.
In May 2013, Dr O'Hickey was appointed honorary Professor in the National Pollen and Aerobiology Unit, Worcester University.
The doctor gave me a better understanding of my allergy, was very polite and approachable and listened to me. I now feel more confident about my allergy and all I need to know about it.
Dr O'Hickey is readily available for advice and I find him to be very supportive if I have clinical issues with the patints that I see.

Dr O'Hickey is an excellent experienced consultant, he is empathetic and listens to his patients care needs and is well respected by his colleagues of all disciplines. His time management is better but still has room for improvement.
